What is CWR DCS?
CWR DCS (Crop Wild Relatives Database Collecting System) software is for collecting CWR information database. Software is created on the base of JavaScript, HTML, MySQL, PHP web languages programming. Software's administration part allows in automatically regime to bring any changes in source code in consumers programme. The software works in on-line and off-line regimes. On-line regime allows setting connection with project's server through internet, dialup connection, VPN connection and using schedule in specified time for copy data on project's server.

For entering the software you must set login and password (given by project's administrator, registration from the side of the client is impossible).
The main page of the tool contains 6 buttons (menu). We will examine each of them separately:

"Records" - This is main "working" section of the tool. After pushing the button will appear a page, which includes information about included species.
First time it will be empty. The page includes lines classified directly by Families, Genus and Species, data on date of adding the species in the list, 8 information blocks' indicators, the number of experts on given species and "Status" section. Information blocks (Taxonomy, Conservation Actions, Utilization, Population Descriptors, Site Descriptors, Biology and Phenology, Legislation and Reference Resources) are initially empty and serve as links to creation recording for particular section. After filling out the section the status of the block will be changed to .

There are located 4 buttons in the bottom:
"Main Menu" - Return to the main menu
"Add Taxon" - add new species
"Delete Taxon" - delete species from the list
"Refresh" - refresh data on the page
"Add Taxon" - by pressing this button will appear the list of plants classified by Family, Genus and Species. After selection press "Select". Selected species will be added to the list of plants and you can start data collection on this particular species.

We will study the 8 information blocks and "Experts" section in details:

It must be filled out following fields in this block:
Rank name, subspecies, varieties, convarieties, forms , Subtaxon name, Scientific name authority, Full taxon name, Taxonomical reference, Taxon origin, Taxon Synonym, Common taxon name, Taxon ethnic name, Language of common taxon name, Date of observation/collecting of taxon In case of need there is possibility to add and delete number of fields for subspecies, varieties, convarieties, forms by pressing or . After filling press "Save".

What differences are between CWR DCS v1.1 and v1.2?

During creation of the tool from the side of authors and directly operators of institutes revealed some imperfections and problems. In certain period, all collected notes are corrected and made substitution of the program on more new version. At the same time, it is foreseen to make renewals of the program in automatic regime in the moment of data transfer from institutions to program's server in the version 2.0.
What has been corrected in v1.2?
- Taxon Fabacea Lens Mill, L. orientalis (Boiss.) Hand. Mazz - corrected function of checking on presence of this taxon in the entered plants' list.
- 7 lines are corrected, which are allowed to enter text information (it is possible only numbers)
- Added function on adding and deleting subspecies, varieties, convarieties, forms on the different lines
- Some of selected boxes were changed into checkboxes by requests of experts
- It has been corrected the mistake of saving function of data in the sections of biology and site descriptor.

What is planned to correct in v1.3?
At the moment of 25.01.2006
- Adding of function of automatic definition of connecting method by Update.
- Partial change of program interface
